PROJECT IS OVER (www.connect.com)

The task-Get 100 leads from UK and New Zealand through Search engine marketing.
Budget- 50$
Product- Of your choice. In my case a dating, chat, friendship site. www.connect.com
Campaign Start Date- 13th august

Results:
Campaign End Date- 21st august
Leads gathered- 44 genuine leads (NZ & Aus-14, UK-27, Misc-3)
Clicks – 170
CPA- $1.13

Lesson Learnt:
1. Landing page plays an important role. Have minimum of diversions on the landing page basically extra links.
2. A good connect between keyword-adtext-landing page will yield the best result in terms of conversions.
3. Keep an eye on quality score of the keywords. Optimize it regularly
4. Use three to four different ad text for each ad group. It helps optimize the campaign. In my case I was able to use only two ad texts for each ad group.
5. Try a max of 30-40 keywords in each adgroup. Helps in optimizing the campaign.
6. In the initial stage, don’t be afraid on bidding high try to bid as high as possible to attain a good position which will ultimately help you to achieve your goals.
7. Keep a close on the keywords, if your keywords are not getting clicks but high number of impressions. It shows there is a problem either in the avg position or the ad text.
8. Always put the google conversion code on the thankyou/confirmation page. It will help you track the performing keywords (which keywords are converting). This helps you to do more permutation and combination with these keywords- the long tail.
9. Never move your performing keywords from your ad group. It affects your quality score.

Please feel free to comment or ask anything on the project.

All the best.

Cheers

The Good & The Bad of Mumbai.

Writing this thing is very easy for some one from North India(Especially if he/she is from Delhi). The first name the guys get is Saala Delhiwala :-) and the gals gets makeup ke putli :-) (By the way not all women put so much of makeup, may be the Mumbai women are jealous of Delhi gals as they are not able to do the so called loud make-up).

First of All the GOOD PART of Mumbai- I think this is one city in India which is safe for a women. Your wives, girlfriends, sisters and moms are sure that a Rick driver will surely drop them to the place as promised without giving those disgusting looks and comments which are very common in Delhi. The other Good part is that most of the people in Mumbai are very genuine/ trustworthy but i think you find the same breed in Delhi as well. And because of this genuine nature they are little scared to take the risk or look for the alternate (basically jugad- as I am so called in my office jugadu from Delhi)

The BAD- I feel that the Government of this place has done nothing for this city. This city stinks at all corners. You can have the aroma of fish everywhere and by the way people tell me that my office has been made on a dumping ground which works like icing on the cake. Then there are Squatters all over the place helping the city make cleaner day by day. Driving in Mumbai is a pleasure. It is like driving in a rally that too with so much of traffic and such wide roads with hardly any holes. The Drive is so smooth that even my car is begging when we can go back our own city (saada Delhi). Nutshell- Roads are pathetic. And how can i Delhiwala not mention the food available here. This experience is the worst once we went to eat golgapas(pani-puri) in andheri(w) in the month of may. The person who gave us golgapas i dont know where was his mind coz he served us golgapas in hot water(i think golgapas are served with chilled water). My wife and I were shocked after eating those....Please help us and let us know some good PUNJABI eating joints.

AS A DELHIWALA I HAVE FIGURED OUT A JUGAD TO LIKE THIS PLACE :-) BUT OVERALL THE CITY IS COOL, CHILLED OUT & THE PEOPLE WE KNOW ARE REALLY COOL.
